What Works is an inspirational film and a practical guide for asylum seekers and refugees who are finding it difficult to find employment. You will hear from refugees from different backgrounds and professions on how they overcame challenges and found employment. Employers also share what they are looking for in a successful employee.
The film was funded by the Office of Multicultural Affairs and Citizenship through the Refugee Action Program at Spectrum MRC and the Brotherhood of St Laurence and is an initiative by representatives from the Congolese, Sierra Leone, Iraqi, Ethiopian, Eritrean, Somali, Liberian, South Sudanese and Afghan community groups who participate in the Employment Action for Refugees Network.
